A kit for detecting and testing properties: Sugars

The set enables working in 4 groups and allows to examine the basic properties of simple sugars (e.g. glucose) and complex sugars (e.g. starch), as well as to determine their presence in selected foodstuffs.

Composition: • Silver nitrate [10 g] • Glass baguette • Glucose [50 g] • Safety glasses [4 pcs.] • Laboratory gloves [10 pcs.] • Sucrose [100 g] • Copper sulphate [100 g] • Starch [100 g] • Petri dishes [12 pcs.] • Ammonia water [250 ml] • Sodium hydroxide [250 g] • Spirit burner with wick • Measuring beaks [4 pcs.] • Pasteur pipettes [10 pcs.] • Spatula • Test feet, wooden [2 pcs.] • Glass tubes [8 pcs.] • Indicator strips • Stand for tubes • Stand above the burner with ceramic center. Important: reagents can also be used for other experiments, e.g. detecting aldehydes or ketones.
